In un sabato di fine primavera, dove la luce filtra dorata tra le navate antiche, Stefano e Francesca hanno pronunciato il loro "Sì" eterno all'interno della maestosa Chiesa di Sant'Agostino, a Modena — luogo sacro che porta il nome di uno dei padri più influenti della Chiesa cattolica, simbolo dell'incontro tra fede e ragione, tra verità e amore.

Sant'Agostino, con i suoi affreschi solenni e l'eco silenziosa della storia, ha accolto gli sposi con la stessa dignità e profondità che si leggono nelle pagine delle Confessioni del santo. Ogni passo di Francesca lungo la navata sembrava riecheggiare un'antica promessa d'amore, sospesa tra le volte della chiesa, benedetta da una luce che sembrava cadere solo per loro.

Carlo Sacerdoti e dedicata con amore a sua moglie Emma Coen, la villa è un gioiello del classicismo modenese, impreziosito da raffinate decorazioni liberty, affreschi del maestro Fermo Forti, capitelli corinzi, loggiati eleganti e una scala d'ingresso degna di una reggia.

Passeggiare tra le sue sale è come attraversare un romanzo, dove ogni stanza racconta un capitolo: affreschi che parlano d'amore, pavimenti che danzano sotto i passi, botti antiche che custodiscono l'anima dell'Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale.

Ma Villa Emma è anche memoria. Qui, nel cuore della Seconda Guerra Mondiale, 73 bambini ebrei trovarono rifugio e speranza, accolti dal coraggio di un'intera comunità. È un luogo che non solo incanta, ma commuove.

I festeggiamenti hanno preso vita tra le fronde del parco, in un pranzo raffinato e conviviale curato con passione dal team di Riso e Risa, che ha saputo combinare eleganza e sapori del territorio in un'esperienza gastronomica indimenticabile. On a late spring Saturday, with golden light streaming through the ancient aisles, Stefano and Francesca exchanged their eternal "Yes" within the majestic Church of Sant'Agostino in Modena — a sacred space bearing the name of one of the most influential Fathers of the Church. Saint Augustine is renowned for his philosophical and theological insights, especially in works like The Confessions and The City of God, where he explores faith, reason, the nature of evil, and the meaning of history.

Sant'Agostino, with its solemn frescoes and the silent echo of centuries, embraced the couple in a sacred atmosphere. Every step Francesca took down the aisle seemed to echo an ancient promise, suspended beneath the church's arches and blessed by a celestial light that felt as though it shone just for them.

The organ played its solemn prelude, the scent of fresh flowers mingled with incense and emotion. Glances were tender, hands tightly held, and a kiss on the forehead sealed the beginning of a journey. Every gesture was a prayer of love, every smile a sacred vow.

After the ceremony, the celebration continued in the embrace of Villa Emma, a timeless historic estate in Nonantola. More than just a venue, it is a guardian of memory — a stage where history whispers through the walls and time seems to pause.

Built in 1890 by the will of Commendator Carlo Sacerdoti and lovingly dedicated to his wife, Emma Coen, the villa is a rare jewel of Modenese classicism, adorned with Art Nouveau details and frescoes by master painter Fermo Forti. Corinthian capitals, ornate balconies, and grand loggias welcome the visitor into a dream.

Each room is a chapter in a romantic novel: frescoes that tell tales of love, floors that dance underfoot, and attics that guard barrels of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar, passed down through generations of the Giacobazzi family.

But Villa Emma is also a place of resilience. Between 1942 and 1943, it sheltered 73 Jewish children fleeing war-torn Europe, thanks to the brave solidarity of the local Nonantola community. A space that moves not only through its beauty — but through its soul.

The reception unfolded in the villa's lush gardens, with a refined and heartfelt lunch curated by Riso e Risa Catering. Every dish spoke of regional richness and contemporary flair, a perfect marriage of flavor and elegance. Each toast became a shared blessing, and every detail — from the floral centerpieces to the evening cake cutting under soft lights — was chosen with love and care.
